Foods to put on your shopping List
Vegetables and fruits should be the main items on your grocery list. They're rich in vitamins; minerals, fiber and antioxidants, and they are mostly low in calories. Choose a combination of green, orange, red, and yellow fruits and vegetables.
Try to purchase bread, pasta and cereal products that are made from whole grains, not from over refined flours. These whole grain foods will give your body important minerals, vitamins, and they are also good source of fiber, which is mostly lacking in modern diets. Read labels and find products with 100-percent whole grain or 100-percent whole wheat so you can be sure you are getting only whole grain products.
Your meat and protein foods should consist mainly of poultry, fresh fish, and lean meats. Eggs, seeds, nuts, and legumes are also great choices. Stay away from crumbed, deep-fried foods or oily coated foods that you put in the oven. These are mostly high in fat and sodium and are defiantly not healthy.
Keep your drinks simple. Water, low-fat milk, juices and herbal teas are all good healthy choices. If you choose soft drinks, try to get sugar-free juices and soft drinks.
Creating a healthy lifestyle doesn't have to mean drastic changes. In fact, drastic changes almost always lead to failure. Making small changes in how you live each day can lead to big rewards, so figure out what you can do for your self to be healthy today.
Gardening for health.
Do you enjoy eating fresh veggies and herbs? Then maybe start your own small garden it doesn’t have to involve digging up the lawn or making huge garden beds that you don’t have time to look after.
Start small ,buy a couple of potted herbs you enjoy and put them into a larger pot with good soil and place them on the kitchen
window sill so you have them available every time you cook your favorite meals.
You could also make a small wicking garden like these on your patio or porch or anywhere else that gets some sunlight. Involve the family maybe you husband or wife or children can help you .

Some times we wake up already feeling run down or have a headache before the day even begins. A lot of the time this could be related to toxins that we are exposing our bodies to with out even realizing it. Simple everyday activities such as washing our faces and our hair, brushing our teeth, putting make up on, washing the dishes, putting on sunscreen or insect repellent can be actually like injecting our selves with poisonous toxins. A lot of these over commercialized and heavily promoted products can actually be stripping the natural oils and beneficial bacteria from our skin and opening our pores to more readily take in toxins and other dangerous chemicals.
The next time you use a commercial face wash or tooth paste,skin care product, shampoo, makeup etc- take the time to read the ingredients and research the ones you don't know or have never heard of - you might be surprised how toxic some of these products realy are to your body. Some of products can actually cause such things as itchy skin, rashes or even dermatitis but this is usually in rare cases of people who are extra sensitive to the toxins. For most of us this slow poisoning is not noticed until it causes other problems such as headaches,fatigue,liver or kidney problems that are hard for doctors or health experts to find the cause for and can usually only treat the symptoms.
If you think that you may be of risk when using these products you should look for more natural replacements. There are a lot of more natural products that can do the same job or even better job of cleansing and also put back protective agents that our body can get direct benefits from.
